Description

The Il-176M-2 is the update of Il-176A, a simple short-medium range airlift aircraft, a little modified old cargo plane I have. It was designed with a proper floor and ramp for cargo, cause I’m personally tired of the freaking stock
cargo ramp. That crap has already destroyed many rovers. And load any cargo is always a strugle, many carreer missions were afected. So with a little wider, totally flat ramp it’s possible to load and
unload the plane with little more praticity.
M-2 version has a new engine, a combination of J-33 with electrical rotors, which are powered by the ellectricity produced by the J-33’s, and an extra K-1000 controller in order to filter prop-pitch range. It can fly 400Km farther than the A version with same fuel, payload, speed and altitude.

Runway for T/O-620M with MTOW

Do not use SAS to fly the plane, gentle trimm the plane in order to keep flight. This new version require more trimm than A version, for T/O set up 2 dot.
With MTOW climb to 5200 meters and keep 250m/s, the plane will start to gain speed slowly, as the plane gain speed
start to climb in order to keep 250m/s.
Always with full thrust. Avoid high climb rates (keep 10-12 initially, then avoid anything too far >8), after rotate with MTOW keep 10 degrees of pitch until a safe altitude, then reduce V/S and keep
climb. With different weights apply the keep 250m/s logic and fly as high as you can with full thrust. Do not be shy, push
it to the limit.
During cruise, avoid long turns and steep bank angles. Try to fly direct to the destination.

The new engine Ivchenko-Progress D-446 requires correction of fan blade pitch. Regard to correct it properly in order to avoid battery comsuption. Once there’s no battery, the blades will stop.
There’s a flag inside the cargo compartment marking the CG in order to help position the cargo.
Be aware that by applying brakes the rotors will stop.
