Long time no see! My first replica upload in almost 1.5 years. Although I have started many projects during this time, they haven’t quite reached completion due to problems or a lack of motivation. This one, however, was not left unfinished. A step into a different direction from my usual plane replicas. Big builds might often be considered the most challenging, but this one brought its challenges because of its tiny size. I had to get creative and try techniques I haven’t tried before to get the shapes right on such a small scale. This can be noticed in the high part count relative to the size, possibly one of the most part-dense replicas out there.
The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 is one of the most iconic and successful cars to grace Formula 1, piloted by none other than the legendary Ayrton Senna. A rocketship that fits right in in KSP. This replica unfortunately does not drive like a rocketship as the wheels can only handle low speeds. Exploring the Kerbol system at rover speeds is possible though!
There are two versions: one without the Marlboro livery and one including it. In case you go for the latter, make sure to download the flags from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qaf13odrlzdz2uf/AADbEySVxQUXVlX8zDoSYvy8a?dl=0
