Description
I finally decided to remake one of my favorite planes, the Tomcat. The old one was.. part inefficient to say the least, but this one comes in at only
a bit over 800! It flies surprisingly well for how complicated it is, definitely a fun thing to fly with. Now, the thing I’m most proud of: the swing wing mechanism. It works like a charm, and bending is minimal even though it uses BG hinges! This is made possible by an SVI mechanism I took inspiration for from Commie_Killer76’s Tomcat (go check that one out too), and a clever flag technique HB Stratos came up with. Big thanks to both!
The livery I went for is for VF-143 Pukin’ Dogs
, if you go for that version of the build make sure to download all the flags below.
Important
Regardless if you go for the plain or livery version, you have to download the flag called nothing.png
, this is because of the flag technique I mentioned earlier.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.11.1.
Controls
- Afterburner toggles from RCS
- Air brakes deploy from brakes
- Landing hook is deployed automatically when lowering the landing gear
