Descriptions & Instructions
- This is a Haunebu II riding on an 80t-to-LKO Moon Rocket for serious pilots. Check for the standalone craft page for detailed descriptions, design notes and lore.
This craft in this configuration doesn’t require cheating. It’s a fully functional spacecraft/lander with ~2400m/s vacuum dV and high TWR, ISRU, RCS, docking and reentry capabilities, basic science package and 7 seats.
Compared with the standalone version, the Haunebu II in this configuration has full fuel tanks and no lifting surfaces, which produce HUGE amount of drag during launch. Other than this they are the same. The whole thing is based on A 9/A 10 Amerikarakete ICBM concept.
Please take a look at the Action Groups tab!
Ascent: slowly reach 45deg pitch at 20km, then lock prograde. There should be ~300m/s dV left in the second stage @ LKO. Convert ore en-route. Capable of doing aerobraking direct reentry from Munar orbit.
Wish you enjoy and happy launching!
