Description

This giant space complex is a massive feat of engineering. Combining the HTV’s service module with a modified Destiny laboratory and an MPLM, this space station has room for all scientfic experiments and a hab. In the HTV’s avionics, is a radiation-hardened single-board computer manufactured by BAE Systems Electronics, Intelligence & Support, which is based on the Cell Broadband Engine, commonly abbreviated CBEA in full or Cell BE in part, called RADCell BE. The Cell BE, being its base, was used in Sony’s PlayStation 3, Toshiba’s demonstration of digital television decoding (and Toshiba’s Cell Regza set-top-box), and IBM’s Roadrunner, a hybrid of General Purpose x86-64 Opteron procrssors (from AMD) as well as Cell processors. The Cell BE was so unique, because Mitsubishi Heavy Industries knew that this special CPU/FPU could become the A.I chip in the space station’s avionics. Able to calculate preternaturally, the Cell is blazing fast, particulary for a spherical enemy named Yami (from Okami). That’s why Mitsubishi Heavy Industries told BAE Systems to manufacture the RADCell BE chip for the avionics, maintaining the chip’s preternatural intelligence. The RADCell BE chip was manufactured under license from the Sony-Toshiba-IBM alliance, who created the Cell BE for Sony’s PS3, and was codenamed Twilight Sparkle after the main protagonist pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, as one of the engineers was a fan of the show (or in this case, a brony), and to show its preternatural intelligence, and as such, Twilight’s cutie mark is on the RADCell BE’s packaging on the top. That’s why the space station’s core module’s avionics was so smart to get into orbit ahead of time, ehnce the space station’s name Bookworm. It even contains the same laboratories: Kibo, and Columbus. And to compete with Tiangong, it has a spherical node for attaching new cargo ships, and a Canadarm2.5. With this new space station, it would be launched on any Omnidroid rocket-derived launch vehicle for the core module.

The RADCell BE is based on the real-life Cell BE.
