Description
What if you take an HTV avionics module, and give it arms and legs, along with cameras for the eyes? Well, this is what Mitsubishi and IHI had in mind for developing a giant humanoid robot that would roam the moon. It even contains its own propulsion module for a soft landing, so no bumper is required for it to stand up.
Loosely based on the lunar robot from Man of the Moon World (月世界の男, Gessekai no otoko), of Ken the Wolf Boy (狼少年ケン, Wolf Boy Ken).
The HTV is a real retired spacecraft of which this robot is based on.
