Description
The first Orion was scheduled to launch on NASA’s SLS rocket. However, due to problems with the rocket, NASA immediately signed a contract with MHI Launch Services to use the H-IIB for launching Orion to orbit. MHI agreed, and the removed the 5S fairing responsible for housing the HTV, and fitted Orion on top of the huge vehicle. This is meant to be a stopgap between the EFT-1 test flight, and the first Orion mission, Artemis-2
Based on NASA’s Artemis program, and JAXA’s now-defunct H-IIB program.
A mod rocket called H-IIB (Orion). Built with 32 of the finest parts, its root part is SDHI.Spacecraft.Adapter.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.12.3.
