I was not completely satisfied with the performance of my other Ka-32 so I re-made it at 2x the scale. This chopper has a max payload of 90 tons and a max gross weight of 180 tons. Cruise speed is 69m/s with a range of 300km and a loiter time of 1&½ hours. The engine produces 1250 kN of lift in cruise mode and 1850 kN in heavy-lift mode from 8 panthers giving it 200% blower force–>lift efficiency. Due to its size and mass this one is not quite as maneuverable as my other Ka-32, but its no slouch either and nicely controllable thanks to a juno-rcs setup on the tail. Updated for 1.4.1: Fixed the bearings by replacing them with beefed up rcs-ball bearings, moved the wheesleys to the outside, and removed the juno rcs system due to overheating problems. Specs should have remained the same although I have not fully tested them.
