PPTS/PTK (aka Federasiya/Orel/Oryol), on the Angara-5P rocket (Russia)

Description

The newest Space Capsule series from JS Hangtian, the LyncBon is an evolution of both Lehu and Dongmeng. With an even larger LF/O service bay and 8 Spark engine, it has ample of delta-V; the rear docking port even allows LyncBon to dock to spacetugs should such need arise.

Its return module consists of 2 decks, with the lower deck configurable for either a mixed pressurized crew-cargo module (as provided) or cargo spaces for scientific equipments. Lower deck also contains monoprop for the RCS thrusters.

In order to lower the cost per launch when using the Ladle YiWCC booster, for LKO operations the LyncBon is launched in “5P mode”, using only the lower stage and boosters. With appropriate equipment (such as StageRecovery module), this provides a mostly-reusable system that is cheaper, safer, and more controllable than Space Shuttles.

Builder notes

As with any paper and semi-paper project, there are so much designs variation it’s not funny. While one can definitely argue it is nowhere close to PPTS, It’s functionally close. Plus, you can always argue the return module resembles the ACTS/Zarya spacecraft.

I have decided to release the ErX version instead, as people seems to prefer this model better. The SaX will get re-release in the future, once I make up a good enough story and have a few more Baijiu (hint hint).
