Inspiration

PPTS/PTK (aka Federasiya/Orel/Oryol), on the Soyuz-V/Feniks/Yenisei rocket (Russia)

Description

While the LyncBon SaX is the one favored by JS Hangtian, there still exist ErX test prototype (cylindical service module); one of which is utilized as payload to demonstrate the rocket Yakitori (also known as “Ladle ErCC”)

Its return module consists of 2 decks, with the lower deck configurable for either a pressurized crew module (as provided) or for scientific equipments. Lower deck also contains monoprop for the RCS thrusters..

In order to be more cost efficient, the “Yakitori” LV was employed. A single stack is comparable to Ladle YiWCC-5 regarding its Delta-V and TRW. Furthermore, the single stack provide ample of data for the planned multiple stacks to be used to send it to Munar orbit.

Real-life notes

The Yakitori is basically a clone of multiple rockets, all of them in turn are actually variants and souped-up version of the Zenit rocket. This is due to their utilization of variants and developments of RD-170 (ie the most powerful rocket engine). An example of such not!RD-170 is Ukraine’s Mayak, which utilize 4xRD-810, which is developed from RD-190 – which is basically ¼ of the RD-170. In fact, even Angara was first envisioned as a Zenit clone (using 1x RD-170) before becoming the modular rocket cluster, each powered by RD-190 variant. Thus, one may consider Zenit to be the base plan for most modern Ukrainian and Russia rocket design.

The conflict of Russia with Ukraine further hampered the Roscosmos access to Zenit rocket. Combined with the need to have a rocket system that can rival that of SLS, the Soyuz-5, aka Feniks, aka Sunkar, aka Yenisei (Russia, make up your mind!) is born on paper. In theory, 5 (or 7 now) of them can be combined to be as powerful as SLS for lunar exploration. While this hold true in KSP, it is hard to tell whether Russia can pull it off – Angara project took 20 years to be created due to their economy.
