BUILT FOR LOOKS. Don’t expect stellar performance. It barely reaches 100 m/s in atmosphere, and in space it has trouble maintaining SAS during burns because the engines aren’t lined up with the CoM.

VTOL takes some getting used to. Engage RCS, deploy the stabiliser with AG0, open throttle to max, and engage VTOL engines with AG4. As the craft lifts into the air, engage main engines with AG2 and switch to closed-cycle mode with AG5. Hold W to keep the nose down, as it will want to pitch up. At ~25 m/s, switch the VTOL engines to dry mode with AG6; at ~50 m/s, disengage VTOL engines with AG4. You may now level out and fly normally.

The craft has a tendency to pitch up due to the aforementioned lack of alignment between the RAPIERs and the CoM. The deployable stabiliser (action group 0) helps with this, but you’ll need to make adjustments yourself while flying. The lack of a tail also means sideslips occur quite often, so don’t pull anything too fancy.
