General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon

I present to you the most refined recreation of the F-16 made in Kerbal Space Program imho.

Hours upon hours have been put into designing this craft.

By using schematics of the F-16, checking out every other attempt at the recreation of the F-16 and intensive trial and error, i think i have created the most authentic and still flyable F-16 possible, within the limitations of Kerbal Space Program.

Sticking to the most important features and utilizing parts creatively i tried to keep the list of needed mods as short as possible.

Many people don’t care about the flight dynamics or the practicality of a recreation craft, but i have made sure that landing works perfectly, taxing works perfectly, taking off works perfectly, that you can maneuver at low speeds and do extreme turns with short radius, all reliably with this craft. Many hours have been spent, but it is worth it, because this craft is one of the only authentic looking fighter aircraft in KSP that actually flies well.

You can change the loadout very easily by just removing the armament from the pylons and creating new configurations.

The standard CAS loadout is included.

Bind a key with BdArmory to fire the cannon independently of the missiles/bombs.

If any of you have ideas to improve it flying dynamics wise or in terms of increasing authenticity, please comment. Feel free to upload your modified versions, just make sure to credit me.

  • Internal cannon with 520x 20mm rounds
  • 2x AIM-9 Infrared guided AIR-TO-AIR
  • 2x AGM-65 Laser guided AIR-TO-GROUND
  • 4x GBU-32 GPS guided AIR-TO-GROUND


Do not taxi faster than 10m/s
Take off with at least 75m/s
Land with at least 80m/s
Using SAS is recommended

For some reason you have to tap G twice for the landing gears to go up after taking off
