Each module of the Fuel Depot is launched on-board a Griffin A0, more powerful launchers are available if the desired orbit is not LKO (~100km). The modules come pre-attached to the Griffin A0 and ACUS upper stage and are ready to launch.

The first module to launch is the FD-CM Command Module, this module does not have any power generation capabilities ,thus it is advised to keep the ACUS stage attached until the truss is constructed. There are 2 construction drones located in the service bay of the FD-CM for construction use.

A stock station called FD-FT ‘Fuel Truss’. Built with 131 of the finest parts, its root part is dockingPort2.
