A long-awaited 2024 update of the Nerfjet space exec craft.
It uses my new MaxQ lifter and grew out of the (unpublished) Skyhawk project…
It arrives in space with 6.4 km/s dV and is able to land on the medium-range moons – and get back to space using a small strategic hill (carefully); or better yet, use a Lunar Launch Ramp.
To Launch:
- SAS Hold & Ignition
- 50 m/s pitch-down 5 deg
- raise AP to 80 km
- [5] to drain S1 fuel (there won’t be any) and lower its landing gear plus [B] to apply brakes
- then separate; circularize Nerfjet
- ride down & recover the MaxQ lifter
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.11.2.
