A lightweight lifter named Minimus.
First published with Obelisk 2 and republished here solo for convenience in mounting new payloads, this machine came out of a collaboration with swjr-swis. This final result is wholly his work (except for the flag) and rather spiffy, I say!
Think of Minimus as less of a booster and more as just an engine
that borrows fuel from its payload.
Launch:
- [TZV] SAS Hold
- ignition
- 30 m/s SAS Prograde
- raise AP to 80
- shutdown & coast
- 70 km jet fairing
- AP T-10 circularize
Recovery:
- at 171W burn all fuel retrograde [SAS Radial Out[/li]
- entering atmosphere, SAS Off
- set brakes]
- under 150 m/s gear down
Notes:
* after mounting payload, ensure vehicle is (still) pre-tilted 5 deg downrange
