A transporter for submersible exploration named Lake Master. Built in the KSP 1.7.3 SPH with 152 stock parts.
First, my gratitude and acknowledgement to Brikoleur for his Long Umpire. This transporter is his Long Umpire fitted out with my Cousteau and a fuel base.
Your mission is to use the Lake Master to air-drop, first the fuel base (bay), then the submersible (ramp), over some sea, lake, river or other kind of water body.
I always forget to load personnel, other than the pilot. (You can always air-drop them in separately, if this happens and let them swim to the craft!)
The floating fuel base incorporates a KV-1 ‘Onion’ capsule, which permits entry/exit to an attached Cousteau.
Cousteau has a deck chair for optional control, if/when you suspect that probe radio reception may not be great at depth.
Boarding the Lake Master cockpit is via the ramp and then 2x Mk1 cabins, which means that you can also carry 4 support personnel.
NOTE: Cousteau utilizes the Tardis Effect for buoyancy control and this requires the ShipManifest mod in order to conveniently flood ballast tanks when diving.
