Description
1:engine
A delightful IMC jet trainer named Kuryakin. (Please also checkout swjr-swis’ snazzy variant, Kuryakin 2!)
Installing ASET Avionics (on a dare), I needed to build a new Mk1 cockpit craft (not just deploy).
I slapped this together in 5 minutes but I’ve spent hours flying it since.
I wanted Mk1 cockpit (check) single-engine Juno (check) minimal parts (ok)
Stall speed is 33 m/s. Top speed is 300 m/s. It was surprisingly docile for one so nimble; so then I added a little spice… of course I did. Did I also mention it is a tail-dragger? (On the roll for take-off, I find SAS Prograde is helpful to lift the tail.)
Cruise: 300 m/s @ 7.5km, range 700km.
Built in the KSP 1.11.2 SPH with 12 stock parts.
NOTES:
- you won’t get the cockpit shown without installing ASET Avionics and Mk1_Cockpit_IVA_Replacement_by_ASET, but that’s out of scope here…
- it’s marked #coffin for a reason (see my Krew 6)
