Description
KISS-II is an upgrade of my original Kerbal Interplanetary Space Station that comes with a complete set of Minimus launchers, making it easier for the first-time space station builder to get into orbit. It is also simpler to assemble.

KISS-II is comprised of the following components, to be launched in sequence:
- KISS-II Asterisk
- KISS-II Observatory
- KISS-II Cupola
- KISS-II Orangutan
- KISS-II Lab Hab
- KISS-II Solar
Note: All launchers are rated for polar orbit.
Deployment:
- SAS Hold, half throttle and ignition
- 32 m/s pitch down 5 deg Sfc Pro full throttle
- AP 80km and coast
- after 50km jettison fairing
- 70 km separate; payload burns to the horizon adjusting attitude upward to prevent climb rate becoming negative
- circularize
- return to Minimus (if still alive) and Sfc Retro plus apply brakes [B]
- gear down [G} before landing (up for splash-down)
- return to payload and schedule an r/v with Asterisk
- close by, turn anti-target and detach Observatory and move the Finch slightly to one side
- maneuver Asterisk to dock with the Observatory with attention to alignment
