Description
1:HORZ 2:VERT 3:gen/ladder
A skycrane/rover combination called Jetta. Built in the KSP 1.11.2 VAB with 172 stock parts.
A powerful, compact exploration package comprised of a Spider skycrane paired with a fast & rugged KW Jetta rover. Starting with 2.4 km/s dV, the Spider de-orbits to deposit the Jetta in the target zone.
When the mission is complete, Spider picks up the Jetta and takes it back to orbit to refuel, ready for the next mission.
The package is mounted atop a Zephyr lifter which will easily take the payload to Mun/Minus or may be refueled in LKO to travel to a destination further afield.
Launch Procedure:
- SAS Radial Out off the launchpad
- pitch down 5 deg accelerating through 50 m/s
- jettison S1 when top, outboard cone tank empties
- continue burn until Ap is 80km
- circularize
