5:NERV 9:outboard engines 0:center engine
This is a 4-unit pod of Hummingbirds going to space on a Zephyr lifter. I’ve added chutes and other paraphernalia to permit usage on Duna (in addition to other lo-grav moons).
And it hadn’t yet been published, so here it is!
In the above image, the foreground Hummingbird landed within 100m of its target… Limited surface hops are possible (repack chutes first). Returns easily to orbit for refueling. Is equipped with an SSM within the lander can.

Ascent:
- SAS Sfc Radial Out; Ignition
- at 45 m/s, pitch downrange 5 deg
- jettison S1 upon exhaustion (tip tank empty)
- at 50 km, jettison the
nose cone assembly
- raise AP to 75 km and then coast
- circularize with 4.8 km/s dV remaining
