Description
A miniature space station called Hedgehog. Built with 82 of the finest parts, its root part is RCSTank1-2.
Fundamentally, space stations should provide a) a fuel depot, b) transit accommodation and c) parking docks…
Hedgehog is designed to keep loose utility machines together until needed.
If used as an auxiliary station, it can be kept close to a main station using ‘invisible tethering’: i.e. synchronizing orbital periods of each station to within a few milliseconds of each other.
I will use it mainly for reuse of Zephyr second stages and other lighter/slimmer paraphernalia.
On ascent, retain the first stage until (a higher) apoapsis is established…
