A stock aircraft called F-104 CKJ. Built with 41 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.

Rotation at 80 m/s with +3 trim recommended (momentarily release SAS to allow the up-trim to perform the rotation). Land with SAS off, flaps down and the same trim.

Also, I have to say, the most fun I’ve had flying any airplane in KSP!

It’s not quite as fast as the KP-9 because of its bigger dimensions and greater fuel capacity, but I prefer its proportions.

Tip: board via the ailerons…
