An upgraded Escort VI transfer injection booster. This seven-engined version goes to space by itself.
Lift off SAS Radial Out; pitch down 5 deg (prograde yellow ring) passing 50 m/s, then go Prograde; jettison the Mammoth S1 stage climbing through 7 km; raise your AP to 72-75 km; jettison cones reaching 50 km; circularize 15s before AP. You’ll finish with about 2.2 km/s dV. Go directly to your target space station for refueling to begin service in LKO.
Escort is a reusable first-stage booster for transfer injection launches from LKO (or other planets!). Immediately after accelerating each payload to transfer velocity, undock, turn tail and burn back to recapture stable Kerbin orbit. If you have insufficient fuel then to rendez-vous back with your home space station, you can alternatively attempt a capture within the orbit of the Mun, for rescue/refuel there.
(7km stage point mentioned above appears to be the altitude density break-even point for acc/burn ratio of 3x Mammoth versus 7x Rhino.)
