Happy New Year and this is a 2020 rebuild of my original Aquila Peregrine SSTO, also known as Dolphin.
A stock passenger spaceplane called Dolphin 2020. Built with 34 of the finest parts, its root part is mk3Cockpit.Shuttle.
20 krew to LKO and I doubt you could find an easier spaceplane to loft and return. I use efficient NERV for personnel transit in the local system, but Dolphin is my workhorse to get up and down.
Now reduced to just 3x RAPIER and with a much-simplified nose docking system, Dolphin is a pleasure to operate – and perfect for pilot training!
A speed run level at 5km until reaching about 450m/s is advised, followed by a 10-degree climb until apoapsis is achieved.
De-orbit on the far side of the destination, lowering the periapsis to an initial 50km (over the target) is standard procedure.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.7.3.
