The Deep, but Reusable.
A version of Deep contributed by swjr-swis.
Deep-R has the advantage of speed (Mach 4+) and recoverability. Not, repeat, NOT a Break-A-Part[tm] airplane.
The payload can be air-dropped into the water as well. Or for precise positioning, splash down and water-taxi and then release:
- open the bay doors [0]
- check again you have an engineer in the payload cupola!!
- jettison the payload [9]
- switch to the payload ‘[’; helps if you have the aircraft on auto-pilot or otherwise fully stabilized
- deploy the chutes [6]
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.5.
