First, the BIG news! Bologna has been updated to v3. The major changes are:

1. improved launch reliability
2. single internal payload tank for easier pumping
3. a new SuperDreadnought lifter

And now, Bologna 3 Luna which is the Mun-launchable version mounted on the revolutionary Warthog lo-grav lifter.

For context, I have now built a VAB on the Mun and am able to perform some launches from its rooftop.

Warthog is a modular, plug-and-play architecture with its hip and shoulders providing all the lifter apparatus.

To implement a new launcher, the engineer simply chooses tank midriff and engine propulsion components and then creates a new grotesque variant. (Nobody can feel you drag in space: notice the fugly S3 Rhino connection to the S2 Jumbo tank!) In this case, a quick adjustment of the tail fins (legs) was made.

Goes to space very easily. The Warthog then has ample fuel to return to a roof-top landing on the VAB.

Oh what fun!
