A nimble seaplane called AFFibian. Built in the KSP 1.7.3 SPH with 30 stock parts.
We were inspired by a photo shoot of AFF’s very cool AFF_D23 (see below), which he has been good enough to now publish. Please check it out.
With its hull and high-slung wings/engines, we envisaged an ocean-going variant. The result is AFFibian and it’s a fun collaboration between swjr-swis and Hotel26 and published here with AFF’s most kind permission.
577m/s @ 11.7km with range 3,800km. Vs is 36 m/s (clean).
Approaching a water landing at a stable ~50 m/s is a good idea. Water lift-off is facilitated also by flaps…
