HFI-64 レグルス VIは、ホクシン重工業（HHI）株式会社が開発した第6世代戦闘機です。HFI-64は、HFI-63 レグルス Vをベースとして、HFI-62U レグルス IV・ウルトラの設計も参考にしつつ、HFI-62Uよりも小型化すること、HFI-63よりも燃料搭載量を増量すること、J-X4エンジンの採用、無尾翼化という改良を加えて開発されました。

HFI-64は、HFI-62Uよりも小型化したことで、最大航続距離は実測値5500kmと延長されています。また無尾翼化によって高いステルス性を獲得したほか、J-404エンジンよりも強力なJ-X4エンジンの採用によって、1200m/s（約マッハ3.5）以上の速度で巡航することも可能です。

このHFI-64NAMD レグルス VI・ネイビー（武装型）は、HFI-64の派生型の一つであり、海軍向けに武装した艦載機として開発されました。本機の武器は全てMOD BDArmory を使用しています。本機は固定武装として20mm機関銃を採用しており、また、ステルス性を確保したウェポンベイには3発から5発のミサイルが搭載できます。さらに、両翼下にもミサイルレールを取り付け、より多くのミサイルの搭載が可能です。

本機は艦載機として、MODAircraft Carrier Accessoriesを使用しています、このMODに含まれるパーツである、Aircraft FuelCapによって空母からの給油が、Aircraft Fixed Pointによって空母への固定が、着艦フックによってCATOBAR方式での運用が可能です。さらに、主翼は折りたたみ式を採用しており、ヒンジは Breaking Ground DLCのものを使用しています。

また、本社のこれまでの戦闘機とは異なり、HFI-64からは標準としてMOD Automated Aerial Refueling System による空中給油に対応しています。本機では、艦載機としてプローブアンドドローグ方式を採用し、機首にはステルス性を確保した格納式の給油プローブが装備されています。

本機は、無人戦闘機であるHD-7AMD デネボラ I（武装型）やHD-8SAMD ネオ・デネボラ II（武装型）と連携して戦闘できます。

HFI-64 Regulus VI is a 6th-generation fighter developed by Hohokushin Heavy Industries (HHI) Co., Ltd. HFI-64 was developed based on HFI-62U Regulus IV Ultra and HFI-63 Regulus V, with improvements such as a smaller size than HFI-62U, a larger fuel capacity than HFI-63, use of J-X4 engine instead of J-404 engine, and the tailless design.

HFI-64 is smaller than HFI-62U and has a longer maximum cruising range of 5,500 km (actual measurement). HFI-64 is also more stealthy thanks to its tailless design. And its J-X4 engine, which is more powerful than the J-404 engine, enables it to cruise at speeds of over 1,200 m/s (approx. Mach 3.5).

This HFI-64NAMD Regulus VI Navy Armed is the armed and carrier-based version of HFI-64 for Navy. All weapons with this fighter are provided by BDArmory. The fighter uses a 20mm machine gun Vulcan as its fixed armament, and it can also carry three to five missiles in its stealthy weapon bay. In addition, missile rails can be attached under main wings and more missiles can be mounted on them.

The fighter uses Aircraft Carrier Accessories, which include Aircraft FuelCap for refueling from the carrier, Aircraft Fixed Point for securing this fighter to the carrier, and the arresting hook for CATOBAR operation. In addition, the main wings with hinges provided by Breaking Ground DLC are foldable.

Unlike previous HHI’s fighters, HFI-64 series will support aerial refueling operation provided by Automated Aerial Refueling System as default. As a carrier-based (naval) fighter, HFI-64NAMD uses the probe-and-drogue system and is equipped with the retractable refueling probe on the its nose.

This fighter is also capable of coordinated combat with unmanned fighter (so-called Loyal Wingman) HD-7AMD Denebola I Armed or HD-8SAMD NEO Denebola II Armed.
