The M1 Abrams is an American third-generation main battle tank named for General Creighton Abrams. Highly mobile, designed for modern armored ground warfare, the M1 is well armed and heavily armored. Notable features include the use of a powerful multifuel turbine engine, the adoption of sophisticated composite armor, and separate ammunition storage in a blow-out compartment for crew safety. Weighing nearly 68 short tons (almost 62 metric tons), it is one of the heaviest main battle tanks in service.

INSTRUCTIONS

What was created was a very loose copy of the M1 Abrams tank, using a simple two-piece design consisting of the chassis and turret, both separate yet controllable. Featuring a grand total of 161 parts, this craft is easy on the computer.

1) Launch craft and press spacebar to stage decoupler and separate the chassis and turret.

(To switch between the turret and chassis use the bracket keys. [ and ])

2) To utilize the turret use the A and D keys, to turn it left and right, respectively. (Note: While turning the turret, hold down S as the turret sometimes catches on the chassis.)

3) To drive the actual tank, use the W, A, S, D keys to control the tank.

The tank is electrically powered, and a large portion of the amount of parts were dedicated to powering this design. The turret is powered completely, however the chassis, even with added batteries and generators, is not.
