How to get to orbit (3500m/s/s dV):
Before launch, add at least 2 kerbals (min. 1 pilot) to the MK2 Lander Can.
Activate SAS.
Throttle up to full thrust.
Press SPACE.
In the first few seconds, pitch forward a little bit.(~2,3 degree)
At 1000 m switch SAS from stability assist to prograde.
Stage when fuel is out in the side fuel tanks.
Then change navball mode from surface to orbit (SAS should remain in prograde), and throttle down to 0%.
When to solid rockets are out, throttle up to full thrust, then stage, then pitch to and stay in between 0 and 10 degree.
Activate RCS if necessery!
When apolapsis is above 75km throttle down to 0% and get to space.
Circularize around Kerbin. Stage 6 should have 800m/s dV.
How to get to Jool and Laythe (4000m/s/s dV):
Use stage 6 to leave Kerbin, maybe a little bit of stage 5.
Use stage 5 and 4 to reach Jool and Laythe.
Make sure, to leave enough fuel to a deorbit burn if necessery.
Stage 4 is part of the aerobraking so do not decouple it!
How to land (1453m/s/s dV):
Dive into the atmosphere (periapsis: ~25km), with a maximum speed of 2700m/s.
Go prograde.
At 8-9000m deploy fairing by staging then stage again (the transfer stage, nervs, etc.).
Set SAS to retrograde and activate RCS.
Extend the hydraulic landing legs to 4.80.
Stage to activate the 6 Thud
engine.
You have enough fuel (1453m/s/s dV) to correct! ;)
Be aware that the TWR of the lander is lower than 2! Slow down in time!
If the landing location is far away from the target (but in land)
How to make the lander into usefull state:
Stage the heat shield.
Undock the rover and drive away a few meter.
Extend the hydraulic landing legs to 0.72.
Set the hinges target angle to 90 degree.
Detach the trailers one by one and pull them away by the rover.
If the partcount is too high (and the lander has fuel) fly away with it.
If not, it can be used as a transfer module to and from orbit (after somehow it is refueled).
How to use the drone:
Undock from the trailer and fly with it It is capable of carry 2 kerbal if the seat module is docked.
Special keys:
1: activate/deactivate the rotors.
2: extend/retract rotor arms.
H/N: increase/decrease rotor rpm.
I/K: change rotor blade deploy angle.
