Exploring the feasibility of pusher-propeller configurations, the Shinden was to serve as a small, agile rapid reaction fighter to take on American B-29s…with 4x 30mm cannons. It was initially to be outfitted with turbojet technology but was altered to use a conventional piston engine until such powerplants were available. Its performance was so well received, it was almost immediately accepted for service. However its maiden flight was August 3, 1945 mere days before the end of the war. The only remaining fuselage sits in pieces in an aviation museum in Michigan with its parts stored elsewhere.

How to fly:

-Use the main throttle to control engine torque.

-Control propeller pitch angle with I/K from between -22 degrees at takeoff to a maximum of -50 degrees increasing gradually until at a top speed of approximately 170m/s.

-To create folding landing gear, it uses parts from Breaking Ground. After take off, press AG 9 to unlock the parts and press G to raise and fold the landing gear. Press G to lower the gear and AG 9 again for landing.
