Initially developed in the 1930’s as a heavy fighter, the Hughes P22-J Devastator has aged well in the following decade. It’s initial high speed and subsequent upgrades have kept it relevant as an anti zepplin fighter. While it’s speed may be slightly lacking by modern standards, its high maneuverability and heavy armament have allowed to keep pace.

Crimson Skies and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge are a pair of games featuring a sundered America where its splintered states are at constant war with each other thus the highway system was never developed leading people to adopt aircraft and zepplins as the preferred mode of travel and air piracy is a constant threat.
