This briefing is from file A56-7W. Classified Top Secret. Subject is, Airwolf. A Mach 1+ attack helicopter with the most advanced weapons system in the air today. It’s been hidden somewhere on Kerbin by it’s test pilot Jebfellow Kerman. Kerman has promised to return Airwolf only if we can find his brother, St. Bob, an MIA in Kerbitnam. We suspect that Archangel, deputy director of the agency that built Airwolf is secretly helping Jebfellow in return for Jebfellow flying Airwolf on missions of national concern.

Jebfellow is 34, a brilliant combat pilot. His only friend is Bill Kerman, who’s air service is the cover for their government work.

With Jebfellow and Bill working as a team and flying at speeds rivalling the fastest jets, backed by unmatched firepower, Airwolf is too dangerous to be left in unenlightened hands. Finding it is your first priority.

Welcome to my unarmed version of the Airwolf helicopter from the 1980s show of the same name! I’m really proud of this craft and I spend nearly a solid weak building, balancing and tweaking it for maximum performance while still looking the part of The Lady.

Controls:

AG 1: Toggle fuel cells and tail rotor indicator light. Also sets to control from the forward from the point of the lander can (what would be Dominic Santini’s control station).

AG 2: Resets tail rotor angle to neutral (no torque left or right).

AG 3: Toggles the hidden panther engines.

AG 4: Toggles the panther afterburners and deploys the control surfaces to counteract retreating blade stall (which causes the aircraft to roll at speeds above 75m/s)

AG 5: Toggles the brakes for both rotors.

ROTOR CONTROLS:

I/K control main rotor pitch. At sea level angle of 1.8 degrees will provide a very slow lift off/hover. When exceeding 65m/s set main rotor to 0 degrees.

J/L control tail rotor pitch via the rotatrons at their base. The tail rotor is more for yaw control at low speeds (less than 15 m/s).

This aircraft is finely tuned and its fuel balanced well enough to require very little input to maintain a stable hover WITHOUT RCS or SAS. Maximum level speed is 150+ m/s (360mph/580kph).

HAPPY FLYING!
