A reasonably small rover seating two Kerbals, designed for excursions to Eeloo. I call it Trailblazer
.
It features twin Spark engines, resulting in a maximum speed of around 60ms⁻¹, although I imagine it could be pushed to much faster by a more confident driver than I. If it starts flipping out of control you should be able to stabilize it with RCS or SAS.
It is, of course, also capable of more standard propulsion with it’s wheels, in which case I advise selecting the command module and disabling the reaction wheels, otherwise they will tip the rover over quite happily while accelerating. I’ve also bound this function to action group 2.
Upon completion of surface activities, the command pod can be separated from the rover with a pair of Sepratrons, and then can ignite four tiny Spider engines to propel itself up to a low Eeloo orbit (~10km). It should even have enough fuel left in orbit to rendezvous with a craft in a similar inclination, for which purpose it includes a junior scale docking port on it’s underbelly. Try launching it from the rover at high velocities! It’s both fun and economical!
It’s also got a variety of decorational features, such as a completely useless solar array, and what some might describe as an obsessive amount of lights. It even has a little picnic table type setup out the back! I at least think it’s quite cute.
Happy Eeloo voyaging!
