Feeling that DSA was not being serious about the exploration aspects of the Kerbal Space Program, Bob Kerman set about designing and submitting his own design for a scientific exploration aircraft to use on Kerbin. After studying many hours of DIY videos and Manley Kerman tutorials on YouKerb; as well as stealing into Bill’s engineering library when he wasn’t looking, Bob submitted the first prototype design for what would eventually become the A7 Saw-Whet. Though it has some maneuvering issues, it more than makes up for these with it’s impressive range and moderate speed while maintaining an equally moderate altitude.

Notes of interest
- DSA currently uses this craft as a standard for all aerial survey contracts on Kerbin.
-Jeb likes it due to it’s sleek design without being overly nerdy.
-Bill thinks he should get some of the credit since it was his books that contributed to it’s design.
