Description

This little rover is more powerful than you’d expect. It can easily cruse at 30m/s on just wheels and on boosters it can just as easily cruse at over 50m/s! It can also take small jumps at at least 40m/s if you land on all 4 wheels. This rover was designed for primarily 1 thing, speed and survivability. I crashed this rover on Duna at over 70m/s and only lost 2 cargo containers and a small reaction wheel. If you think you’re about to crash then enable the powerful RW’s in the back and try your best to stay upright, even if you go into a high speed slide. To drive long distances I recommend enabling both fuel cells next to the solar panels and setting the pitch trim to at least ½ of full (maybe more or less for different planets). Then you want to enable the RW in the back and set the SAS pointed toward where you want to go wheel throttle trim still works with SAS on). Then you leave your computer and wait until the rover reaches the destination. Another quick tip is that the faster you go, the more attention you have to pay to what’s happening to the rover.
