This 1100T behmoth is for lifting nearly 400T of fuel tanks into LKO.
It takes quite a while to get into a very low orbit. And it’s a little tricky. (for me, I am a dreadful pilot, however)
To Ascend:
Go flat until the rapiers really kick in at about 400m/s, then let it rise on its own until about 8K height, then drop the nose down to two or three degrees and wait until it stops accelerating then switch the rapiers over to closed cycle. Leave the nose where it is. When your apoapsis hits about 75K.
If you’ve got it right you should be able to use the last of the fuel / O2 mix to circularise the orbit.
Drop the cargo by hitting 0 then use the RCS to lift the whole craft up off the fuel pod.
There should be just about enough fuel left for the nukes to deorbit. There’s plenty of RCS to keep the nose up on the way down.
Having lost an utterly enormous amout of mass at this point, landing is a doddle. Hit space to release the chutes once you’ve landed.
