Description

During a fleet renewal of Kerbin Air Force, Frontinco came up with a solution to make the Republic-4 better; installing two paurs of more powerful and afterburner-equipped J-85 Tiger supplied by C7 Aerospace, Kerbal Standard and General Electric.

The aircraft itself is superior in takeoff and landing rollout distance, which is very short, thus making the plane carrier-capable. Not to mention that the plane can also break through the sound barrier up to more than 500m/s, making it an ideal as an, again, carrier-based subsonic bomber interceptor.

The prototype originally flew with the windshield that came with the original open-cockpit setup dating back to the time when it still uses two pairs of Junos. After the maiden flight of -4M, the windshield has been removed, and flew once, undocumented.

Future developments include replacing the straight wings with 22.5-degree swept wings and a single tail empennage setup.

A mod aircraft called Frontinco Republic-4M. Built with 37 of the finest parts, its root part is fighterinlinecockpit.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.7.1.
