Description
.
The L-50 family is capable of carrying from 240 to 384 passengers (by Trans-Kerbin Airways standards), depending on variant. The L-50 is the fourth revision of Project Relialiner.
.
Design
.
The L-50 is a quadjet, low-wing monoplane powered by four J-90 Goliath engines, capable of producing up to 360kN each. The aircraft has a top speed of 230m/s for the Dash-10 variant and 220m/s for the Dash-30 variant.
The aircraft can be flown by at least two pilots, however, four is recommended. Handling characteristics between the L-50-10 and the L-50-30 is rather different. However, pilots can still use the same type rating for both aircraft with minimal retraining.

Development
.
Project Relialiner
.
Project Relialiner was aimed to produce a jumbo-sized airliner with engines varying from four to six. It was started way before Frontinco is formed, and finally realized in 1993 with the launch of the Fr-30 family.
.
Fr-30 Family
.
The L-50 has the roots originating from Frontinco’s Project Relialiner. The project was first realized by the creation of the Fr-30 family, which is the ancestor of the L-50 family. Models are as follows, sorted by introduction date.
.
1. Fr-30-100 is a single-decked quadjet, released in 1993.
2. Fr-30-100ER, the Fr-30-100 with extra fuel tanks in the wingtip. Released in 1998 by request from Kantas.
3. Fr-30-200, the six-engined version of the Fr-30-100ER intended for hot-and-high operations. Launched in 1998 together with the Fr-30-100ER, it shares the same wing with the latter.
4. Fr-30-300, the double-decker version of the Fr-30-200 to carry more passengers than previous versions, at the cost of range and maximum takeoff weight. Launched in May 2000, it was originally set as the competitor of the Airbus A3XX, which later became the A380.
.
All four was supposed to be in service with Kerbal Express Airlines. However, Kerbal Express Airlines shut its doors and ended business in late-March 2020 due to the Koronavirus pandemic. As the result, the project was shelved until June 2020 where Trans-Kerbin Airways was formed by the former employees of Kerbal Express Airlines. Therefore, Frontinco sent both variants of the L-50 for evaluation.
.
