Description

This one particular day Wernher Von Kerman thought of a ridiculous idea of launching a rocket that supposed to be ground-launched, from the back of a plane, using a method known as air-launching. This is what Walt and Gus Kerman and his bois came up with. Strapping a huge pair of Delta wings on the first stage of a rocket yet to be decided the name, together with smaller canards and fins on the orbital circularization stage. For now, they stick with the name Kraken-1 Air for the rocket. And sticking it to the back of the W-B-3M bomber with the triple tail fin setup almost similar to the early W-3.
.
And right before flight, the flight crew and the engineers decided to name it Atlantis, as a reference to a Soviet turbojet-powered outsized-load strategic airlifter, Myasishchev VM-T Atlant.
.
Takeoff roll made us crazy. It *just rotate itself and when Jeb flicked SAS* (or ESC in real-life words), the craft maintained attitude and it levitated into the air like a B-52 during takeoff. Bill then played the Ducktales NES Moon Theme. Jebediah said.
.
The flight crew took advantage of the high angle of incidence of the rocket’s wings to achieve lift at thin atmospheres. They launched the rocket safely at an altitude of (around) 25km ASL.
.
*Fully-functioning Flight Manager for Reusable Stages (FMRS) is strongly recommended when recovering the plane. Stock-flying the plane to the nearest KSR or KSR Airports airports are mostly no good.
.
