Ka-27 Helix was a coaxial twin-rotor naval helicopter designed to replace the aging Ka-25 Hormone - a similar construction designed for SAR and submarine hunting operations.

Similar in size to it’s precedessor due to storage space limitations it featured a newer radar, the trademark wide, fixed undercarriage facilitating stable landings on rough seas.

This replica is properly scaled, and can be easily operated from ship replicas.

Power is distributed via the throttle for ease of operation.

Overall, the flight characteristics are extremely admirable and precision landings can be executed with little to no effort with some practice.

Watch out for odd pitch behavior at higher horizontal speeds, you may need to decrease or increase RPM to combat pitch-up or pitch-down tendencies respectively.

Maximum throttle will make you climb, and about 60-70% throttle should make you maintain altitude in level flight. Anything below that should make you descend at various rates.

Have fun flying! Remember to turn on power generation with AG4 before flight.

Emergency rotor brake can be engaged with AG5.

AG2 and AG1 toggles pusher engines which will help in horizontal flight. AG1 engines should be turned off for vertical landing.

v1.0 - Initial release
v1.1 - Added control mapping to rotor blades so that cyclic can be kind-of simulated, this increased cruise speed by about 8m/s
v1.2 - Added pusher engines for better top speed, cruise speeds of 45m/s are now attainable.
v1.3 - Rotor power reduced due to the huge power buff for all rotors in the newest update. At high enough RPMs the rotor would shake itself apart.
