The F-16 was put into production in the mid-70s after winning the Lightweight Fighter Program, a technology evaluation program which brought back the dogfighting ability into the US fighter doctrine. Developed nearly alongside the F-X program which resulted in the adoption of the F-15 Eagle into service, the F-16 was the low part of the high-low jet fighter mix used by the USAF. With over 4 thousand F-16s in service around the world it is one of the most popular modern fighter aircraft, living through countless iterations and fulfilling numerous roles, from air superiority to CAS.

This replica is a result of playing around with the idea of using landing gear as a nosecone. The technique turned out to look quite decent and thus the whole Falcon with it’s trademark smiling intake and a flat, sleek nosecone was born.

Flying it is very straightforward. It has extremely quick control surface response, similar to my Su-33 and admirable roll rate which mean it fares very well in close dogfights at mid to low speeds. Afterburner is toggled with AG1. I hope you enjoy flying it as much as I enjoyed building it!

v1.0. - Initial release.
v1.1. - Areas around the wing strakes were smoothed out.
