Description
The Kossack is a supermanoeuvrability demonstrator (SMD) based on the MiG-29 and Su-27, and designed to perform well in all regimes of flight using the Ferram Aerospace mod. It is constructed entirely of stock parts.
It has leading edge control surfaces that adjust their angle depending on the aircraft’s angle of attack. Its centre of mass is very close to the dynamic centre of pressure, meaning that it can display elements of relaxed stability seen on modern fighters.
These features allow it to pull manoeuvres such as Pugachev’s Cobra and the Kulbit. It can supercruise at mach 1.5 at sea level, and using afterburners will take it to mach 2.8 above 3km.
