A mod aircraft called KLS Minmus. Built with 190 of the finest parts, its root part is M3X.StackDockingPort.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
Following the commissioning of the KSS Drifter, the need for a new class of logistics craft that would be able to support it came to the table. It had to be a craft able to dock with and transport the Drifter’s passengers down to the surface, while being able to carry fuel back up, both in the Mun and Minmus, and possibly within Duna and Jool’s SOI. After a few designs, it was clear that the best bet would be to pick a tried and true hull, and modify it for those specific needs. The base hull used for the Bacchus and the Hooker was the logical choice, not only because it’s already familiar, but also very easy to work with. The resulting craft easily met all goals. It’s capable of transiting within Kerbin’s SOI, land on either moon carrying 16 passengers (+2), and taking into consideration going down and back up, deliver an average of roughly ~17k Oxy and ~15k LF back to orbit after refueling at the surface. Outstanding.
Features:
16 passengers (+2)
~5,100 D/V, powered by 6 Poodles
SC-62 container and CC-R2 ports for KIS/KAS support and hose refueling
Can land vertically and switch to horizontal for smooth ground transit.
Dark side land assist lights.
3 T-1 Dart
Aerospikes to assist with vertical/horizontal switch and liftoff
1 large (nose), 1 medium and one small docking ports (belly)
Notes:
The boosters needed to take it into Kerbin’s orbit are supplied with the craft, and have been thoroughly tested for reliability, performance and endurance. There is enough D/V to take off and go to either moon, even with the sloppiest planning. Recommend maintaining a speed of !300m/s up to 10k, then speed up as necessary while avoiding burns that could damage more sensitive external components.
