Martin’s Mission Modules.
the things that give a bird it’s soul
The silly looking thing made of Martin MH’s mission modules snapped on a stick. This made only for uploading all MMs at once.
Included:
Empty Module Carriage for your own modules (it behaves odd without load)
4-crew Module
2-crew Module with extra fuel
Science bay Module winh batteries, antennas and more fuel
Extended range
Module - a fuel barrel with fuel barrels on it, ‘cause science!!
Built in the SPH in stock KSP version 1.1.2.
Details
- Type: SPH
- Class: rover
- Part Count: 176
- Pure Stock
DONT LAUNCH THIS AS IS! IT USELESS!
Usage (for ready to use modules):
Park your plane(?) so it won’t block spawnpoint on runaway. Block brakes, off engines, open cargo bay.
Launch a car. Switch command point to payload’s docking port.
Drive it under the plane. Align laterally it’s port with port in the bay.
Hit G(ear) to raise the car. If properly aligned, it will automatically dock to the plane.
Hit Space (not that up there, a key) to ditch the cariage.
Switch to car, hit G again to lower it, try to drive that thing away, or simply recover it
This principle can be easily used with any fitting craft.
Hints
:
2-crew thing is unballanced ‘cause fuel, forgot to fix it.
Too light cars can behave odd.Add fuel for weight.
Cars with control from probe WILL behave odd.
Driving wheels are rear, that way it’s easier to align ports… and to flip in on the road.
Place heavier parts closer to the port for less wobbling
Try to fill all space unused by payload with fuel. You can’t have too much of it!
Have fun!
