Introducing the new Hermes SSTO:
After numerous advancements in the reusable rocket division, the Spaceplane division of Phyrrus Aerospace Engineering could not stay behind. Today, they present the latest in crewed transport: The Hermes Gen2.
Gen2 has increased it’s orbital dV to a comfy 800m/s, allowing for missions up to a 500km equatorial orbit. It is completely autonomous, and can be flown empty before picking up crew, or after dropping them off.
Although the Hermes Gen2 is quite an easy SSTO to fly, it requires a bit of care during takeoff, as there’s a risk of damage to the main engines. 2 Spark engines function as orbital manoeuvering engines, with a higher efficiency than the RAPIERs.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1.
