Description
The first fighter of Kattele Military Manufacturer is the AMV-1 Marlin meant mainly for ground support. The Marlin is has served very generally in air offense and defence.
Pilots nickname it Hellride on its susceptability to flat spins that are often unrecoverable if below 3500 meters.
Important Flight Note: Be catious when escaping high airspeed into a maneuver (especially around 250 m/s). The AMV-1 is highly susceptible to flat spins; stop a maneuver to let the aircraft stabilize before continuing if feeling of entering a sideslip. Best recovery method is to cross controls with rudder in opposite direction of spin and pitch down. Once nose approaches 90 degrees down, slowly pull out of dive. Recovery maneuer can cause a loss of 3000 or more meters in altitude.
