Description
< KU-961 Sucrose >
The Sucrose is the closest to many concepts of blended wing-body aircraft having a very smooth transition from wings to main fuselage with the body fully being integrated in the lifting portions. The one exception would be the tail and a fuselage extension for a V-tail for traditional passive stability. The stabilzers are full-moving control surfaces using combined control inputs and pitch trim setting. The Sucrose has an internal refueling boom that can be deployed and uses vanes to position the boom from an internal spotter position.
< Notes >
- Advised to set boom to neutral postition before retracting
- Pitch trim sets neutral position of control inputs; it does not allow an increased/decreased pitch input
