< Parasite Block II >
The original Parasite was a very quickly slapped together close air support (CAS) attack fighter. Even though PGS’s development habits of implementing radar return reduction (RRR) design techniques into everything, very few actually made it into the Parasite leading to a mildly modernized CAS platform.
Block II of Parasite is when the program is given the proper attention to put together a better CAS platform that is still rather unfufilled with mostly ground attack platforms being available apart from the stop-gap solution. Heavily RRR design features were used, noteably is that the airframe is not stealth and simply has features to improve survivability with a modified and imbedded main gun and bays for interal payloads. Heavy gun modification also allows the Parasite to avoud the odd off-center nose gear. Apart from that is the inclusion of the slowly-becoming-the-standard fighter cockpit layout and airframe layout to greatly improve aerial maneuvering as well as other internal systems. All these upgrades should allow for a more survivable and capable dedicated CAS platform.
