MSOW Aerospace Division is beginning steps for permament settlements in the Kerbin system starting with the moon Minmus which has yet to have a surface base of station constructed. MSOW has chosen a permament settelment using a gravity ring that works with the low gravity of Minmus to allow astronauts to return to Kerbin with shorter recovery times.
The lower weight of the core will allow a launch using the smaller, but still large, Comlumbidae Launch Vehicle. The launch will also be a manned launch with a RedFox3.2 and a grabber unit to begin constrution of the first ring.
The base of the ring has legs that firstly allow the base to be lifted up allowing extensions to be connected for additional resources, utility, and logistics modules. The second purpose is to level the base when touched down on an uneven surface to ensure the gravity ring is creating the effect of 1 g evenly. The base can handle about 5 degrees of terrain inclination, but a level surface is optimal.
